INVESTIGATION OF SEXUAL CHILD ABUSE

During the decade of the 1980's, numerous situations occurred in which it was publicly documented that numbers of children had been sexually abused while in non-parental care. Added to other documented cases of sexual abuse within the family, and the occurrence of molestation in day care centers, churches, schools, and youth care settings, the prevalence of these situations caused the problem to be brought to the attention of the highest authorities, and heightened the awareness of the general public. Once thought by Predators to be the perfect crime, victims are verbally communicating their stories, and "acting out" their frustrations. This program focuses on the Multidisciplinary Approach to successfully investigating and prosecuting this type crime.
