Curt Spears Curt Spears is a retired Chief of Field Operations for the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, managing 2,800 employees and a 100+ million annual budget. He has also served as a Captain of Professional Standards and Training Division-Recruit Training Bureau, Captain for the Custody Division North-North County Correctional Facility (managed a maximum security facility with an average inmate count of 3,500 and an employee complement of 375 personnel), and was also formerly a Lieutenant of Professional Standards and Training Division-Internal Affairs Bureau. Curt earned a B.S. in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. During his years in police leadership roles, he pioneered many of the approaches which today are considered "Best Practices." He is a nationally recognized management trainer and regularly teaches proactive management of police discipline. |
