Lt. Kipper L. Connell

Kipper Connell is formerly the Sergeant in Charge of the Pasco County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Training Division, a position he has held since 1991. He directed the training of over 800 employees, including research, development, and instruction for the agency’s in-house training. A certified instructor in Verbal Judo and Cultural Diversity, Sgt. Connell has taught these courses for St. Petersburg Junior College and Pasco Hernando Community College as well as the Sheriff’s Office. He has been with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office for over twelve years, during which time he has held such positions as Uniform Patrol Sergeant, Vice and Narcotics Officer, and Field Training Officer for the Patrol Division. He has recently been selected by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to conduct "train the trainer" programs on communications and cultural diversity issues.
